CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the hob and cover

Before cleaning the cooking hob, disconnect it from

the mains power suppl y and wait until it has cooled

down.

Wipe with a cloth moistened with hot soapy water.

Do not use abrasive or corrosive products, chlorine

products or steel wool.

Do not leave acid or alkaline substances, such as

vinegar, salt or lemon juice, etc., on the cooking hob.

Stainless steel surface

Clean with a specific commercial product.

Note: prolonged use of the cooking hob may

result in slight discoloration of the stainless steel

surface around the hot plates due to high

temperatures.

Electric hot plates

Clean when the plates are warm.

Wipe with a cloth moistened with water and salt.

To avoid rust formation, always dry the hot plates

carefully and wipe over with an oily cloth.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

The hot plates do not heat up.

Checks:

is the temperature control knob turned to the

desired position?

is there a power failure?

AFTER-SALES SERVICE

Before you call the After-sales Service:

1. Carefully check the “Troubleshooting Guide” to see

if you can fix the problem yourself.

2. Switch the appliance off and then on again to check

whether correct operation has been restored.

3. If the p roblem persists, call After-sales Service.

the service number (i.e., the number t hat follo ws the

word SERVICE on the rating plate under the hob

and on the guarantee).
